The MKB Music Studio hosts many
groups, including bands whose demos and releases we are engineering, producing,
and distributing. There are also a couple studio groups who write, perform, and
record in the studio. The Experiment was the very first of those groups to form.
Erick and I (MKB) make up the core of
this group. Release #0000
consists of two songs written and performed by those two musicians, with Lee Razo
providing guitar solos. The group has expanded since that release to include Boris
Burtin on the keyboards and Rafael Bas on the guitar.
Those four artists get together about twice a week to try out new things and practise
for recording. Since Rafael and Boris are also composers, the group does not suffer
a lack of material. Rafael provides gypsy and jazz guitar stylings the quality
of which I haven't seen in a long time. Boris plays a retro style of keyboards,
using a lot of old analog synth style patches and pure piano sounds. Erick and
Michael provide the rhythms on drums and bass, respectively.
