Manisha Shahane's "Peace in Progress"; seems to be a mix between classical, jazz, lounge, and pop. The tabla is used, which is rare in local music.

Shahane has written the majority of the tracks on this CD, proving her to be an excellent composer. Everything, from the changing time signatures to the dramatic melody lines, is outstanding!

This particular CD is from 2003. A December 2006 update on her Web site states that Shahane is recording her sophomore album entitled "First Dance." This will be a greatly anticipated release!
